How Pelosi Got Filthy Rich Revealed

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has seen her wealth increase by at least 2,292 percent over her 37-year tenure in Congress, according to a financial analysis of her congressional disclosure documents.

The longtime lawmaker announced Thursday that she plans to retire from Congress in 2027, ending a career that has seen her wealth grow from a minimum net worth of $2,675,036 when she began serving to $63,996,050 in 2024.

An examination of assets and liabilities listed in Pelosi’s congressional financial disclosures reveals the substantial growth in her financial portfolio over nearly four decades of public service.

Stock trading activity has been identified as a primary driver of the wealth accumulation during her time representing California’s constituents in the House of Representatives.

An independent analysis conducted by Quiver Quantitative places Pelosi’s current net worth at approximately $278,760,000, significantly higher than the minimum figures reported in her official disclosures.

Her 2024 financial filings indicate a maximum estimated net worth of $311,443,000, though lawmakers were not required to report maximum dollar amounts in 1987, the year Pelosi served her first term.

The 85-year-old congresswoman’s investment portfolio performance in 2024 nearly doubled the returns of the S&P 500, according to previous reporting by the Daily Caller.

Representatives from Pelosi’s office stated that she does not personally own stocks and has no prior knowledge or subsequent involvement in stock transactions, the outlet reported. Her husband, Paul Pelosi, handles the management of trades in the family’s portfolio.

The former House speaker announced her support for Republican-backed legislation that would ban stock trading among members of Congress, presidents and vice presidents in July.

The announcement came on the same day President Trump called for an investigation into possible insider trading by Pelosi, Resist the Mainstream reported.

“We must have strong transparency, robust accountability and tough enforcement for financial conduct in office because the American people deserve confidence that their elected leaders are serving the public interest — not their personal portfolios,” Pelosi said, per the Caller.

Resist the Mainstream reported Thursday that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) had surprising praise for Pelosi during an appearance on CNN.

“I will praise Nancy Pelosi. She had an incredible career for her party,” Greene stated during the interview.

“I served under her speakership in my first term of Congress, and I’m very impressed at her ability to get things done,” she added.

Greene drew a direct comparison between Democratic and Republican effectiveness in advancing their respective agendas. “I wish we could get things done for our party like Nancy Pelosi was able to deliver for her party,” Greene said.

Back in October, Resist the Mainstream reported that former President Barack Obama had unleashed frustration on Pelosi after she endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris just one day following President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the presidential race.

“The Obamas were not happy,” a confidant told ABC News reporter Jonathan Karl. “This person summed up Obama’s message to Pelosi as, essentially, ‘What the f*** did you just do?’”
