President Donald Trump is demanding $230 million in restitution from the Department of Justice (DOJ) for the many cases he faced before becoming the 47th president.
Before becoming the 47th president, Trump was embroiled in multiple cases led by Democratic prosecutors, including the New York hush-money case and the election case in Washington, D.C.
Despite being forced to deal with those cases, Trump prevailed and ultimately won the presidential election against former Vice President Kamala Harris.
Upon winning, all cases were dropped.
Now, Trump isn’t playing games.
The president has already taken aim against some of his political opponents, including New York Attorney General Letitia James and former FBI Director James Comey.
Attorney General Pam Bondi is under pressure to investigate her boss’s political opponents and she must now deliver on Trump’s $230 million demand.
According to the Daily Mail, the president has submitted two administrative complaints seeking damages for multiple DOJ actions that he claims violated his rights.
The first complaint seeks damages for an alleged violation of his rights regarding the Russian collusion investigation against Trump’s 2016 campaign. The second complaint is in response to the infamous FBI raid of Mar-a-Lago.
When asked on Tuesday if he was seeking a payout from the DOJ, Trump answered bluntly.
“Well, I guess they owe me a lot of money for that,” he said.
Trump, the first president not to accept a salary, said he would not use the payout for personal reasons.
The president said that if he received the funds, he would use them to improve the White House or give them to charity.
It will be interesting to see how Bondi handles the prosecutions and the payout for the president. As Resist the Mainstream previously reported, Bondi was “caught off guard” when a grand jury in Virginia indicted James.
In September, Trump posted a private text message he sent to Bondi, where he emphasized the following: “JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED, NOW!!!”
In the lengthy message, Trump pointed out that many people are saying no action has been taken against James Comey and California Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA).
“Pam: I have reviewed over 30 statements and posts saying that, essentially, ‘same old story as last time, no action. Nothing is being done. What about Comey, Adam ‘Schifty’ Schiff, Leticia??? They’re all guilty as hell but nothing is going to be done,’” he said.
“We can’t delay any longer, it’s killing our reputation and credibility. They impeached me twice, and indicted me (5 times!), OVER NOTHING. JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED, NOW!!! President DJT,” he concluded.
