In a shocking twist, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche is accused of being a “Democrat” by the MAGA community for stonewalling nominees that President Donald Trump and his supporters favor.
The bombshell revelation comes just days after it was revealed that Blanche and Attorney General Pam Bondi allegedly share a hatred for FBI Director Kash Patel, as Resist the Mainstream previously reported.
Blanche is now accused of using his high-ranking position to block favorable MAGA DOJ nominees.
According to the Daily Mail, the 2nd-highest-ranking DOJ official is also “edging out” DOJ employees. Most notably, he reportedly accused U.S. Pardon Attorney Ed Martin of disloyalty.
Blanche is facing accusations of blocking pardons for Jan. 6 protesters – an issue that MAGA strongly expressed during the 2024 election cycle.
Not only that, but the deputy attorney general is accused of obstructing plans to offer the protesters compensation.
Trump associate Peter Ticktin recently appeared on a podcast, where he strongly criticized Blanche and alleged that the top DOJ official is working against the Trump administration.
“Everything that needs to be going forward in order to make Donald Trump’s presidency work is being stalled intentionally by this man,” Ticktin said.
“Todd was a Democrat until a couple of years ago,” a source linked to the DOJ told the Daily Mail. “But he was the best of Trump’s lawyers, so people from the campaign and central operations love him.”
Blanche was interestingly photographed having dinner with CNN White House Correspondent Kaitlan Collins in December 2024. It was noted at the time that Blanche had been registered as a Democrat a year earlier.
As is known in politics, Collins is not a fan of MAGA nor the president. She has often been at the center of controversy and discussions with Trump.
Former Trump Lawyer Robert Barnes issued a scathing rebuke of Blanche during an interview with Infowars host Alex Jones.
“Todd Blanche is a corporate w*ore, New York Democrat lawyer, who weaseled his way into Trump world because he saw a big fat check coming from President Donald Trump by defending him,” Barnes said. “I saw no efficacy in his advocacy to be blunt about it.”
“I saw nothing special that what he did in those New York cases and the court of public opinion or in the courts of law or in front of the judge or the jury to suggest he has any special skill set, least of all loyalty to President Trump,” he added.
Blanche served as the lead defense attorney for Trump in the New York hush-money trial.
The high-ranking DOJ official graduated from American University, earning a bachelor’s degree in political science and interdisciplinary studies. He later attended Brooklyn Law School, where he earned his Juris Doctor.
