Multiple pro-Palestine activists disrupted former Vice President Kamala Harris’s book tour appearance in Chicago on Saturday, turning what was meant to be a promotional event for her memoir into a scene of confrontation and removal by security.
Harris was discussing her book, “107 Days,” with journalist Michael Norris when the first protester stood up and began shouting accusations at the former veep.
The woman claimed Harris supported genocide in Gaza, according to video footage posted on social media.
Security personnel responded to calls from audience members and removed the woman from the venue. However, the disruption did not end there, as additional protesters continued the coordinated effort to derail the book tour event.
“Your legacy is genocide!” the protester shouted as she was being escorted out.
“This is what you did. You paved the way for everything that is currently going on.”
The accusations came as Harris attempted to maintain control of the event and continue her conversation with Norris about her memoir.
The book chronicles her experience during the 2024 presidential campaign.
Harris fired back at the heckler, directing her complaints toward the current administration instead. “You know what? I am not president of the United States. You wanna go to the White House and talk to him, then go on and do that,” Harris said.
The response drew cheers and applause from other attendees at the Chicago event who had come to hear Harris discuss her book.
Many in the audience appeared frustrated with the interruptions; however, the disruptions continued despite the removal of the first protester.
A second protester was captured on video standing up and shouting that Harris is a “war criminal.”
Shortly after the second interruption, a male heckler also stood up and yelled that her “legacy is genocide.”

This is not the first time Harris’s book tour has faced disruptions from pro-Palestine activists, the Daily Caller emphasized.
During a previous event in New York City, Harris delivered a similar response to hecklers, telling them she was not president and had no power to address the Israel-Hamas war.
The pattern of disruptions has followed Harris across multiple cities as she attempts to promote her memoir to audiences around the country.
Each event has become a potential target for activists seeking to confront the former vice president.
Harris’s memoir details her failed 2024 presidential campaign against Donald Trump.
The book covers the 107-day period referenced in its title, documenting her rapid rise as the Democratic nominee and subsequent defeat.
The book has sparked controversy not only from protesters but also from within her own party.
The Caller has highlighted that several advisers have reportedly called the book “divisive” and described it as an embarrassment for both Harris and the Democratic Party.
Even Bill Maher slammed Harris on his HBO show over her new memoir, criticizing her for not taking responsibility for her loss to Donald Trump in the 2024 election.
Maher opened by mocking the book’s title, saying, “Kamala Harris’s new memoir of the 24 election is called 107 Days. But it should have been called Everyone Sucks But Me.”
“107 Days is a victim’s title, because get it, she only had 107 days to win,” he added, Resist the Mainstream previously reported.
Maher highlighted the advantages Harris had during the campaign, including billions in funding and a base of roughly 75 million voters willing to back any candidate other than Trump.
He also pointed out Harris’s repeated blame of former President Joe Biden for not dropping out sooner.
