Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin, Tyler Robinson, lived with a “transgender” partner, law enforcement sources confirmed.
The individual, who is so-called transitioning from male to female, is cooperating fully with the FBI as authorities investigate the fatal shooting of the conservative activist.
Sources told The New York Post that communications between Robinson and his partner helped authorities identify him as the suspect.
Fox News reporter Brooke Singman first reported the relationship, which played a crucial role in the investigation.
Conservative commentator Benny Johnson reacted to the report, writing, “This is 100% confirmed. Charlie Kirk Killer, Tyler Robinson had a boyfriend who identified as transgender. This man is cooperating with the FBI and has turned over all electronics and messages. I’m hearing there is much more to come. Yes, this is now officially trans violence.”
Text messages and other exchanges reportedly revealed details about firearms and bullet casings linked to the shooting.
Authorities said a “roommate” provided information showing communications from Robinson discussing bullet casings similar to those found at the scene.
The messages also included instructions to retrieve a rifle from a drop point, which helped law enforcement trace the weapon.
Robinson, 22, allegedly shot Kirk at Utah Valley University during his “American Comeback” college speaking tour.
Kirk was struck in the neck shortly after a student asked him about “transgender” mass shooters.
He was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead within hours, as Resist the Mainstream previously reported.
The FBI and state authorities are continuing to investigate Robinson’s motives, including personal grievances and his political beliefs.
Officials described Robinson as acting alone. No other suspects have been identified or detained in connection with the case.
Robinson was raised Mormon. Law enforcement sources said he reportedly became agitated over Kirk’s campus appearance and remarks.
Hunter Kozak, an attendee, asked Kirk, “Do you know how many transgender Americans have been mass shooters over the last 10 years?” Kirk clarified, “Counting or not counting gang violence?”
Authorities said Robinson’s partner and their communications provided critical leads, allowing investigators to locate and apprehend him quickly.
Federal and state authorities are reviewing digital evidence, text messages, and other communications to build their case and understand the sequence of events leading to the shooting.
The partner, who is now cooperating, is providing key information to the FBI that may shed light on Robinson’s planning, mindset, and motivations.
Investigators are piecing together Robinson’s personal and online life, including his social circles and political activities, to understand what led to the assassination.
Officials emphasized that while the partner’s cooperation was essential, Robinson alone is accused of carrying out the shooting, and the investigation is ongoing to ensure all details are accounted for.
