Four dead after car crashed through Illinois Daycare

Four people were killed and six others injured on Monday after a car crashed through an Daycare facility in Chatham, Illinois, according to local police.

Deputy Chief Scott Tarter told WCIA News that the crash occurred around 3:20 p.m., when a car slammed into the east side of YNOT Outdoors, a center that provides after-school activities for children. Authorities said the driver was transported to the hospital, though the extent of their injuries remains unclear.

Chatham, a small community located just three miles south of Springfield, was left reeling from the tragedy. Police have not yet released the identities of the victims or the driver involved.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more details become available.
