2028 MAGA Leader Revealed

Former Republican National Committee co-chair Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of President Donald Trump, issued a stark revelation on Wednesday about the president’s 2028 replacement.

As speculation over who will take Trump’s throne as leader of MAGA ramps up, Lara revealed the family’s plans and endorsements.

In an interview with Fox Business, Lara said that the president will throw his weight behind Vice President J.D. Vance in the 2028 election, setting him up to lead the robust MAGA base.

Lara, who is married to Eric Trump, was slated to run for the Senate in her home state of North Carolina, but ultimately declined.

Nonetheless, Lara maintains a close connection to the president and the entire Trump family, as one would expect.

Now, the president’s daughter-in-law has shaken the MAGA movement by revealing that Vance will be the family’s pick to lead it after Trump.

During the interview, Lara pointed to Vance’s youth as a strength to take on the Democrats in the forthcoming presidential election, as Trending Politics reported.

“He’s just over 40, I think Usha is 39. So yes, they’re young, which is terrifying to the Democrats,” she said, referring to the Vice President and the Second Lady.

“Imagine, Stuart, we kept what we’ve seen happen over the past 10 years going for the next eight years, which is what a lot of people believe is going to happen, that the Democrats are in such a bad spot with no leader, no message, and nothing that the American people are interested in,” she added.

“That once Donald Trump ends his term, and we love the Trump 2028 hats, don’t kid yourself, I know everybody, especially a lot of Democrats love those, then it will be JD Vance for the next eight years,” she went on.

Lara’s statement seems to align with polls that show Vance as the frontrunner in the 2028 GOP primary.

Challengers to the vice president include Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R).

In an Echelon Insights poll dated Oct. 21, Vance holds a 36-point lead over DeSantis as the favored GOP presidential nominee. Rubio scored third place with just 6% support.

The Center Square Voters’ Voice Poll also showed Vance as the top choice to lead MAGA, with Donald Trump Jr. just 13 points behind in second place.

The vice president garnered 38% support in the poll, compared to Trump Jr.’s 25%.

In July, speaking to Fox News, Rubio said he would support Vance’s presidential nomination if the vice president chose to run.

The secretary of state said the vice president would be a “great nominee.”

“Well I think J.D. Vance would be a great nominee. And if, you know, if he decides he wants to do that. And so, you know, I think he’s doing a great job as vice president. He’s a close friend and I hope he intends to do it,” Rubio said.

In August, NBC News asked Vance whether he is considering running for president in 2028.

In response, he shut down speculation that he would take such a move and said he’s focused on his vice presidential duties and “trying to do a good job for the American people.”

“And if I do a good job, and if the president continues to be successful, as I know that he will be, the politics will take care of itself. We can cross that bridge when we come to it,” he added.
